Our Story
Certainty below.
GPR Surveys was founded to solve a problem that every contractor, structural engineer, and project manager knows too well: starting work on a structure without really knowing what's inside it. That uncertainty causes delays, damages infrastructure, and — when things go badly wrong — puts people in danger.
Ground penetrating radar eliminates that uncertainty. It lets you see through concrete, soil, and pavement to map exactly what lies beneath — rebar, conduit, post-tension cables, utilities, voids — before a single drill bit touches the surface.
We built this company around one standard: deliver data that is accurate enough to act on. That means the right equipment, properly calibrated, operated by technicians who understand both the physics of GPR and the demands of construction sites. It means clear reports, delivered fast, with drawings that actually integrate with your workflow.
We serve engineers, contractors, municipalities, and facility managers across Vancouver Island, Lower Mainland, Gulf Islands, Okanagan, Kootenays, and Northern BC — from large commercial builds to emergency utility locates.
Our Principles
How we work.
Precision
We don't estimate. Every survey is conducted with calibrated equipment by certified technicians, producing results you can trust and act on.
Speed
48-hour report turnaround on standard surveys. For urgent projects, same-day mark-outs are available on request.
Safety
Non-destructive by nature. Our methods eliminate the risk of striking hidden utilities, cables, and structural elements before work begins.
Expertise
Our technicians are certified in GPR operation and data analysis, with field experience across commercial, industrial, and municipal projects.
Technology
Professional-grade equipment.
Survey results are only as reliable as the equipment and operator. We use professional-grade hardware and industry-standard processing software on every project.
Antenna Frequencies
200 MHz – 2.6 GHzMulti-frequency capability for optimal penetration depth vs. resolution across all substrates.Data Acquisition
High-speed systemsSurvey-grade equipment delivering rapid coverage without compromising data density.Processing Software
GSSI RADANIndustry-standard GPR processing software for accurate signal interpretation and deliverable generation.Positioning
Survey-grade GPSCentimetre-accurate positioning for large-area utility and geotechnical surveys.Sectors
Who we serve.
From high-rise concrete scanning to rural utility locates — if it requires GPR, we can help.
